DI BELLA COFFEENORTH MELBOURNE, VICTORIAThis project involved the transformation of an empty warehouse in Leveson Street, North Melbourne, into a venue to accommodate coffee roasting, coffee bean sales, a café and retail area and a barista training area. Design features include custom light pendants made from oversized grain sieves and crystal strands and plywood panel screens with natural stains to emulate the various degrees of coffee roasting. Several years after the original warehouse was opened additional works were undertaken to extend into an adjacent building to enlarge the premises. The kitchen was relocated, dining area was increased, and an intimate courtyard was created. Photography - Christine Wood |
