THE DECKSOUTHBANK, VICTORIAThe Deck Restaurant is located at Southgate with stunning views of the Melbourne city skyline. The original Deck Restaurant was located on mid-level and operated there successfully for over a decade before relocating to the upper level to take advantage of city views and proximity to the Melbourne Arts Centre. The venue incorporates a full commercial kitchen with patisserie, a front bar counter with wine store and a charcuterie display. The unique layout of the space offers a variety of eating and drinking options from pre-theatre drinks and sharing plates at the bar to a more formal dining experience in the intimate dining room or out on the deck. The innovative shop front, consisting of six large sliding mesh panels, transforms the space according to the time of day giving flexibility to how the space can be used.
